Its march already where does the time go?
What an amazing experience I have been blessed to have experienced so far in 2017. My trip to India was like nothing I have ever experienced! Nothing could have prepared me for what I saw, heard and felt on those 12 magical days away.
I experienced some of the most beautiful things life has to offer and at the same time some of the most heart-breaking. India is a world of polarities and a chance to evaluate your own spirituality. My big “AHA” moment come towards the end of the trip when in Varanasi: the oldest Hindu city on earth on the banks of the sacred river Ganges. While walking along the crazy noisy crowded streets I gazed directly into the eyes of a young disabled man in a makeshift wheelchair. Taken aback I asked myself “Why would a soul chose to not only be born disabled but born into these type of circumstances.” I then received my confirmation something I have been searching for …for a long time now …my understanding. The reason is because we are more than our body, our race , our circumstances, our possessions, we are a soul on a journey of growth and evolution along the quest of ascension. The soul’s quest to evolve is so great and so much bigger than anything we can ever imagine that it will provide whatever experiences necessary to work towards that ascension, no matter how great the pain or sacrifice.
After allowing the flow of tears integrating my emotions I experienced the deepest gratitude I have ever felt. Gratitude for the life my soul has chosen this time around, for my functioning body, for the circumstances I have experienced and grown from, for the people who I have struggled with for gifting me the lessons I needed and all my mentors who have helped me journey to this point.
